As a pure varietal wine it has an unmistakable scent of apple and in good vintages, develops a delicious, honey-like richness. It is a discreetly aromatic wine, mouth-filling with mild, unobtrusive acidity. On the palate Pinot Blanc is appealingly dry, elegant and velvety, lively, fresh and full. |
South Tyrolean Cabernet Cabernet Sauvignon is characterised by aromas and flavours of freshly cut grass, green capsicums, pepper and earthy tannins and a intense aroma of blackcurrants and other berry fruits. Ageing potential: 4 - 5 years, wines from good vintages and of noble origins much longer.

South Tyrolean Chardonnay A precise description is hardly possible due to the variety of styles this grape is capable of expressing, though South Tyrolean Chardonnays are characterised by a broad spectrum of aromas and a flavour of ripe apple and fruit. Flavours and aromas of nut, pineapple, melon and honey can also emerge. It is often refreshingly austere and fresh, harmonious and elegant. |
South Tyrolean Kalterersee (Lago di Caldaro) classico A delicious, uncomplicated, easy drinking, fresh wine, dry but mellow with mild acidity, harmonious with an attractively bitter almond finish which may be light or accentuated. |

South Tyrolean Pinot Gris (Ruländer - Pinot Grigio) Pinot Gris is typically rich in body and extract with mild, though firm acidity. On the nose it is often rich, lightly spicy with a discreet aroma reminiscent of lime tree blossom, pear and banana. It is a rich, assertive wine, full but elegant in body. |

South Tyrolean Müller Thurgau A flavoursome, lightly aromatic and delicately flowery, elegant, fresh and lively wine, full with accentuated, though well integrated acidity. Top quality wines grown in high altitude sites on calcareous soils often becofme indistinguishable from fine Riesling. |
South Tyrolean St.Magdalener (Santa Maddalena) Fruity and flowery reminiscent of cherry and blackcurrant with an attractive hint of bitter almond and violets. On the palate it is velvety, harmonious, multi-layered, full and round, finishing long and elegant.

South Tyrolean Sauvignon Sauvignon varies considerably in aroma depending on the ripeness of the grapes and where they are grown. It can be on occasion rather herbaceous, green and fruity, often fuller, flowery and mouth-filling. On the nose Sauvignon is frequently reminiscent of green, barely ripe fruits, freshly cut grass and nettles, or of elderflower and blackcurrant leaves. It is usually a refreshing, lively wine with strong presence on the palate and firm acidity. |
South Tyrolean Lagrein The Lagrein Dark colours in red to inky with hints of violet in youth. It's a full-bodied, rich wine with a very appealing, typical, delicate bouquet of violets, vanilla and black woodland fruits. On the palate it is austere and fruity, tightly knit and supple, velvety with sweet tannins, a bitter berry flavour, elegance and concentration. Lagrein Dunkel is delicious with a host of local dishes, especially venison, game birds, red meats in general and seasoned cheeses. |

South Tyrolean Blauburgunder (Pinot Nero) Mouth-filling and velvety, rich though elegant in body and alcohol with supple, mild tannins, a fine varietal aroma and a delicious fruit. character. Depending on its origin and age, Pinot Noir can offer a wide spectrum of styles in both aroma and flavour. Young wines are often characterised by a typical, elegant aroma of strawberry, raspberry, plum and cherry, while maturity enhances these characteristics and transmutes them into complex aromas of oriental spices, dark chocolate and truffels. |

South Tyrolean Lagrein Rosè The Lagrein Kretzer or Lagrein Rosè is bright, pale rosa through to light red. Its aroma and flavour is described as fresh, fruity, delicate and elegant on the nose, lively on the palate, ‘spritzig’ and stimulating. Lagrein Kretzer goes well with full flavoured first courses, typical South Tyrolean cold platters consisting of speck, sausage and Alpine cheeses, as well as with smoked fish or simply on its own as an aperitive or for social drinking. |
